Gamma Irradiator Protection Course
Information Sheet
The Gamma Irradiator Protection Course is required for all personnel who wish to operate the Cobalt irradiator.
Course material must be studied and completed prior to attending the course. Courses are held in the Radiation Control Training Room, 1236 in the Babcock Building.
Registration and a Letter of Trustworthiness attained by the course attendee from his/her Principle Investigator or Department Head are required prior to attending the course.
Registration for Non-UA Affiliated Workers: Non-UA affiliated individuals can attend a Radiation Control Office course and will be given a certificate of completion upon satisfactorily passing the course test. There will be a $125 charge assessed following the completion of the course. The RC-088 form is not required for non-UA affiliated workers. To register, please call 626-6850.
