Information Sheet
Sealed source users have a variety of training and operational requirements due to the diversity of sealed sources possessed by our Approval Holders. There are four categories of source use; electron capture detector use, soil moisture gauge use, gamma irradiator use and general sealed source use. The initial and follow-up requirements for a new worker in each of these use categories are detailed below.
- Complete and submit an Radiation Worker Data Sheet (RC-088)
- Enroll in the appropriate training class
- Receive a Radiation dosimeter if necessary
- Complete the Appropriate Course material
- Provide a copy of their training certificate to their Approvals Radiation Safety Coordinator
