Radioactive Material Protection Course

Information Sheet

The Radioactive Material Protection Course is required for all research personnel working with 'free' or 'unsealed' radioactive materials, also described as 'wet-chemistry' work.

Course material must be studied and completed prior to attending the course.

Registration is required prior to attending the course. Courses are held in the Radiation Control Training Room 1236 in the Babcock Building.

Registration for Non-UA Affiliated Workers: Non-UA affiliated individuals can attend a Radiation Control Office course and will be given a certificate of completion upon satisfactorily passing the course test. There will be a $125 charge assessed following the completion of the course. The RC-088 form is not required for non-UA affiliated workers. To register, please call 626-6850.

Requests should be made as early as possible to allow time to arrange the accommodation.
