Laser Radiation Protection Course

Laser Radiation Protection Course (LRPC) is required for personnel working with regulated lasers (Class 3b and 4).
Personnel working with other regulated uses of nonionizing radiation, such as magnetic fields, microwave, radiofrequency, ultraviolet, and high-intensity visible radiation should contact the RCO to determine what training is required for non-laser nonionizing radiation producing devices.
Course material must be studied and completed prior to attending the course. Courses are held in the Radiation Control Training Room, 1236 in the Babcock Building.
Registration is required prior to attending the course.
Registration for Non-UA Affiliated Workers: Non-UA affiliated individuals can attend a Radiation Control Office course and will be given a certificate of completion upon satisfactorily passing the course test. There will be a $125 charge assessed following the completion of the course. The RC-088 form is not required for non-UA affiliated workers. To register, please call 626-6850.
