RCO Lab Instrument Capabilities

Liquid Scintillation Counter

The Radiation Control Office has three liquid scintillation counters to detect and quantify radioactivity. The RCO typically uses LSCs to analyze filter paper wipes, cotton swabs, and liquid samples for DPM, CPM, and gross activity.
